FAQs

Where do you typically work?

We are currently based out of Hotchkiss, CO and Boulder, CO. We serve the Western Slope of Colorado, Northern Colorado, Moab UT, Northern New Mexico and the Front Range of Colorado.

Places you will typically find us working are: Telluride, Ouray, Ridgway, Aspen, Carbondale, Steamboat Springs, Fruita, Boulder, Denver, Moab UT, Castle Valley UT, Santa Fe NM and Taos NM.

Can you work in remote locations?

We offer a unique service of being able to take our professional staff and bespoke farm-to-table food services not only to highly remote locations — like the top of mountain passes — but also long distances. If you are interested in having us work outside of our normal range, just ask! We love to connect with clients and farmers in new places. If you have questions about our travel policy see our policy document, but out of range travel fees only apply if we are working 100 miles or more away from one of our two bases.

ok but how remote? What if the location doesn’t have electricity or running water?

Do not feel limited if a venue or event location does not have a kitchen, roof or utilities as we are well versed and have the equipment to create beautiful food anywhere. We love the intense views of rugged mountain tops and the cozy shade of the deep forest. Someday we hope to make dinner on the beach or at the mouth of a canyon. Whatever your vision is for your event we are able to get there with solar lights, propane and fire cookware, hauled water, and all of the primal amenities needed to serve you and your guests beautiful food.

Do you travel for weddings and other events?

Yes! We absolutely travel for weddings and events. We have a large range we cover typically (see above) and have fee schedules for out of range and long range travel. We absolutely love getting to meet new people, see new places, connect with new local producers and farmers and get our staff out of our normal neighborhoods. As we like to say, “Have knives and grills, will travel.”

What does “full service” mean?

To us, “Full service” means that we are present from start to finish, making sure everything runs smoothly for your event. Our professional staff coordinates the logistics of your event with walk-throughs, meetings with planners, vendors and venues, we create and make bespoke menus, we arrive with our own set-up to execute your menu, our servers set-up all dining areas, bartending areas (if applicable), arrange flowers (if applicable) and guide the flow of your event service.

After service we reset all of the rentals so they are ready for pick-up, clean up and strike all of the service set-ups, remove trash/recycling to an allotted location and leave things better than we found them.

do you help with planning or day-of event coordination?

We have a lot of experience running events. If you do not have a planner or need help coordinating we are happy to make suggestions and go over necessary items with you as a part of our event catering services at an extra cost — from booking rentals, to suggesting decorations, to making liquor ordering suggestions.

If you need help with extended planning, ask us as we do offer full event-planning services in lieu of a coordinator, separately from our catering services. Our professional staff always steps in to help an event run smoothly, however if you are looking for a day-of event planner we can help staff that separately from our catering services.

How does your pricing work?

We price our services in four parts:

  1. Menu, which is the cost of preparing and serving the food and beverage items since we value sourcing and using the highest quality ingredients as well as preparing them with the utmost care;

  2. Labor, which is the front of house service team determined by the number of guests at your event, service requests and length of time you would like service to run;

  3. Service Fee, this is an industry standard charge to “bring the restaurant to you” including all of the ancillary labor, time, behind the scenes logistics and upkeep on our end to create professional and smooth events;

  4. Sales Tax, whenever this applies.

do you create custom menus?

All of our menus are special for the events we do, truly bespoke. Much like a well-thought out gift that says something about both the giver and the receiver, our menus are a co-creation of our palette and your food desires as well as grounded in the season by the farmers close to your event whom we will be sourcing ingredients from.

do you work small events?

It is a pleasure for us to get to work small events. Talk to us about your event and what you are looking for and we are happy to co-create an intimate dining experience based on our availability.

do you offer bartending services?

We have a professional bar staff who is both friendly and skilled at making seasonally inspired cocktails for your event. Additionally our servers are all TIPS certified in order to be able to serve alcohol to your guests, whether it be wine service with dinner, toasts with your speeches or welcome drinks upon arrival.

We often create custom beverage menus to complement our event menus when venues are not already taking care of beverage services. We are also happy to stock your bar with fresh squeezed citrus and seasonal juices, crafted garden-inspired simple syrups and other mixers, tonic, soda, fresh garnishes and ice.

If you are looking for non-alcoholic beverages we can also craft specialty mocktails, seasonal juices and other bright and “for-everyone” drinks. Per Colorado law we can serve liquor but we cannot purchase it, so we will assist you in making an informed liquor order as well, if you need!

do you have options if our budget is limited?

If you are limited in the investment you are able to make for your event, we do have seasonal changes to our booking minimums.

Our high season runs from Memorial Day through the second weekend in October; this is prime wedding season when our services are in high demand and we ask a lot of ourselves and our staff. If you would like to have an event during the high season, consider having it on an off-day for a lower event booking minimum (Wednesday or Thursday).

If you are interested in booking in our low season, we offer different event minimums that may be able to meet your needs. Let us know what you are dreaming up and we would love to work with you, if we can!
