Forage Sisters is a full service event and catering company, born between two best friends whose passion lies in bringing people together through intentional food and thoughtful events.

Forage Sisters works with clients to create bespoke and inspired menus for every event, carefully crafting every detail. Our company is influenced by our personal family heritages and their traditional methods of cooking. We strive to bring the earthen, rustic spirit of our family lineages into everything we do. We invite you to gather, sit, slow down and savor an elevated dining experience with us. 

Meet the Sisters

 
 

Mirasol Gomez

  • Mirasol Gomez was born and raised in California into a family of strong South American and Mediterranean roots, whose values centered around cooking, family and passion for creating intentional gatherings.

    With her greatest inspiration coming from the ancestry of her family, Mirasol started working in events and catering in 2008 in California at age 17 for a woman-owned farm-to-table catering company, Feel Good Foods, which later inspired her dream to start a company of her own.

    She moved to Colorado in 2014 and has since worked in the restaurant and catering industry in all parts of service, honing her skills in both casual fare and fine dining at every level of hospitality. She worked and trained alongside front range notables such as Grant Buchanan of GB Catering and Kyle Mendenhall at Arcana.

    She has an inspired passion for food, an eye for design as well as event planning, and brings curated details to every event. Working with Nicole to bring Forage Sisters to life has been a long time dream come true.

 

Nicole Carrillo

  • From a young age Nicole was taught to have passion for food by the best cooks β€” her grandmothers. Being a family cook became her chosen art.

    Nicole was in New York City where she took on and operated a high-end event chef business and then moved back to Colorado after meeting her husband. They started a culinary garden business while continuing to cultivate her gift for feeding large groups delicious, elevated cuisine.

    Since 2013, both on her farm and others, she has been creating abundant farm-to-table dinners for all seasons. She has a passion for the seed-to-plant-to-table aspect of menu planning and creation. She had always dreamed of having her own event company that valued regenerative goods & local producers, paid equitable wages and that she could have fun with, thus the Forage Sisters has been and continues to be a huge fruition and dream made reality.

We strive to keep this spirit at the heart of everything we do, from the care with which we prepare our food to the relationships we foster within our staff. After all, what’s a good meal without good company to share it with?

We care deeply about where our food comes from and value creativity in its preparation. Our work aims to highlight not only the quality farm ingredients and products we source, but also the specific tastes and passions of our clients. Every time we cook, it’s an opportunity to educate people about where their food comes from and how many hands cared for and tended to it before it reached the table.

This work runs in our blood. We are proud daughters of Italian and Argentinian immigrants, and acknowledge the lineage of experiences that have led to the opportunities we enjoy today. why we love

Live Fire Cooking

Raised by a father who grew up in the Pampas of Argentina, Mirasol has inspired the Forage Sisters to take up the old-world style of cooking with the asado. This is the culture of the Gauchos, and is a method of cooking over an open flame. Respect for each part of the animal, vegetable and earth is a part of the asado and the act of it is an offering to be savored and shared.

This is a special offering of the Forage Sisters and a beautiful, all-encompassing form of cooking that is slow and passionate. This service is fun, exciting and invites all the senses to the experience of your event.

  • We operate mostly in Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico, however it is our pleasure to travel to your dream event destination. Please see our full FAQ page for more details.

  • Absolutely. We are fully equipped to create elegant dining experiences in remote locations that don’t have a roof, electricity or running water. From mountaintops to canyons, deep forests to deserts, we love helping our clients to make their dreams a reality.

  • Every one of our menus is custom-crafted for the unique needs of each event, reflecting our rustic style and the elevated tastes of our clients. We work with local farms to source the highest quality ingredients, no matter where the event may be located.

  • We have a wealth of experience planning, coordinating, and running events of all sizes. Beyond our catering services, we are able to support you with booking rentals, designing floral arrangements, staffing, decoration consultation, liquor ordering, and day-of coordination.
